Featuring a smooth, domed head and square neck design, carriage bolts provide a clean finish and a secure grip that resists spinning during installation. The 316 stainless steel construction offers superior corrosion resistance, especially in coastal and chemical-exposure environments – making them a top choice for pros and DIYers alike. These bolts pair with compatible 316 stainless steel hex nuts and 316 stainless steel washers.

Key Features

  • 316 Stainless Steel: Premium corrosion resistance, ideal for marine, coastal, or chemically-exposed environments.
  • Smooth Domed Head: Offers a clean, low-profile finish while deterring tampering.
  • Square Neck Design: Prevents rotation when properly seated in wood or square holes.
  • Threaded Shank: Compatible with standard 1/4″-20 coarse-thread nuts and washers.
  • Available in Multiple Lengths: Select the perfect size for your application with options ranging from short to extended lengths.

Applications

  • Marine construction and dock hardware
  • Outdoor furniture and decking
  • Pergolas, gazebos, and fencing
  • Trailer and equipment assembly
  • General-purpose construction in corrosive or high-moisture areas

Installation

Carriage bolts are designed for use in pre-drilled holes. Insert the bolt through the material so the square neck fits snugly into a square or pressure-fit round hole to prevent spinning. Secure with a compatible 1/4″-20 nut and washer (sold separately). Torque using a wrench or socket from the nut side, no need to grip the head.
