2-inch ratchet straps are a staple in the transportation industry. The polyester webbing is rugged yet soft to protect your cargo, while the ratcheting mechanism makes it easy to achieve a tight, secure hold. These straps are incredibly versatile, bridging the gap between lightweight 1″ straps and heavy-duty 4″ straps. The polyester material provides superior strength with minimal stretch, along with UV and water resistance. Unlike cam straps, ratchets dont rely solely on operator strength, allowing you to apply the exact amount of tension needed.
These 2″ tie down straps feature a longer fixed end than most standard options, positioning the ratchet further from the anchor point for improved access. A sewn loop next to the ratchet provides a convenient spot to store excess webbingjust wrap it up and tuck it into the loop for a clean and secure setup.
The webbing is made with slightly thicker yarn than many competitors and woven with more picks per inch. Each strap end is heat-sealed to prevent fraying. These details improve resistance to abrasion, tearing, and cutting, helping the straps last longer.
The zinc-coated ratchet features a long, wide handle and a smooth grip, making it easier and more comfortable to tension the strap securely.
Flat snap hooks are highly versatile, designed to connect to almost any anchor point. Each hook includes a spring-loaded keeper that closes automatically, ensuring a secure connection and added peace of mind during transport.
All of US Cargo Control’s ratchet straps are tagged and stenciled with the working load limit to meet FMCSA and DOT regulations, CVSA and WSTDA guidelines, and North American Cargo Securement standards.
Learn more about proper load handling and securement in the WSTDA safety bulletins.
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): “When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation.”
